Such a fun and unique shirt!
The shirt is adorable but it is definitely a slim fit. Even the neckline is tight. We ordered large and yes, they are 18 inches across but there is no wiggle room. They hang long and straight down. For an 18 year old you are all set but middle aged woman with love handles, size up one or two for sure. Material is thick so not for heat of summer.
